Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce announcing major operational, leadership and strategic updates.

Webster City- Officials with the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce announced this week major operational, leadership and strategic updates for its organization. The chamber is launching Vision 2026. It is a comprehensive three-year strategic roadmap designed to position the organization to actively handle and shape the local community and economic challenges. Three key objectives include the following. They are Downtown Revitalization with prioritizing downtown development to utilize existing municipal infrastructure and grow the local property tax base for Webster City. New Membership Structures with the introduction of a modernized Tiered Dues Structure to allow businesses to select membership benefits that align with their specific operational size and needs. As for Regional Economic Partnerships, the Webster City chamber will strengthen their foundational ties with regional economic entities including the Ames Regional Economic Alliance and Hamilton County Development to drive industrial growth. It was on June 25th that the groundbreaking and ribbon cutting for the Webster City  Gateway Industrial Park was held. In addition, Jamie Griffith, who served as part-time Executive Director since January 2026, has stepped down from the role to return to volunteer work with the Chamber. She will maintain her position as the Hamilton County Fair Manager. There will be a new executive director for the Webster City Area Chamber by September 1st of this year. Other plans for the future of the chamber includes Commercial Growth and Assessment Integrations including a look at shopping habits, coordinated downtown extended hours and chamber coffee gatherings on a quarterly basis.
