Labor Day closings this Monday, September 7th.

Labor Day is coming up this Monday, September 7th with the final fling of summer this weekend. There will be a number of closings for the day. The Webster City City Hall, Hamilton County Courthouse and all county offices will be closed for the holiday. All financial institutions and professional offices will also be closed. Many area businesses will be closed Monday and a few for the entire holiday weekend on Saturday and Sunday. The Kendall Young Library will close their doors at 5:00 this Friday afternoon for the Labor Day weekend to reopen again on Tuesday, September 8th at 10:00 a.m.  You will not be getting your mail this Monday from area Post Offices. Webster City’s Post Office box lobby will be  open for the benefit of box holders but the customer service window will be closed on Labor Day. If you need a postage stamp, you may buy one at the grocery and convenience stores. The Hamilton County ISU Extension and Outreach office will be closed Monday. All area schools will be dismissed for the day Monday with classes in many area districts to resume on Tuesday. The only exception will be the Webster City and St. Thomas Aquinas schools to close Tuesday due to staff development meetings. Classes will resume on Wednesday.
