FORT DODGE, Ia. — The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls volleyball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the trek south to take on the St. Edmond Gaels in North Central Conference action at St. Edmond Catholic School. CGD entered with a record of 5-1, while St. Edmond entered with a record of 5-2.
It would be a fast start for the Cowgirls on Thursday, as CGD took the opening set by a score of 25-21, before holding off a late St. Edmond rally in set 2 to grab a 25-23 win to take a 2-0 lead. St. Edmond would respond in set 3, as the Gaels took the set by a score of 25-19, but CGD would hold off the Gaels in set 4 in extra rallies to pick up a 26-24 win, and a 3-1 victory in the match.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball returns to action on Thursday, when they host a North Central Conference quad at CGD High School beginning at 5 PM.
