Webster City-The Webster City Outdoor Pool is closed until further notice due to broken glass goggles. Crews are currently draining the pool. This is necessary to protect our swimmers from swallowing glass or getting glass fragments in your eyes. Once that is finished, the crews will sweep and thoroughly clean the pool shell to make sure to remove all glass particles. Afterwards, the pool, will be refilled and chemically balance it prior to reopening.
The city has no timeline for reopening, because we do not know how long this process will take. The priority is for the patron’s safety, and that this process is done with that in mind.
Please remember: All glass goggles and bottles are strictly prohibited from the outdoor pool.
