Hamilton County to be a part of Hometown Pride beginning this fall.

Webster City- Hamilton County officials learned Wednesday that the county will be a part of the Hometown Pride program through Keep Iowa Beautiful. The county will be a part of 17 communities selected for this community development program. Blairsburg, Ellsworth, Jewell, Kamrar, Randall, Stanhope, Stratford, Webster City, and Williams will be affiliated with Hometown Pride starting this Fall of 2026. Keep Iowa Beautiful announced the city of Newell will be a Hometown Pride community as of next month and the communities in Union County will join in the Spring of 2027. Thanks to the efforts of the Ames Regional Economic Alliance and the Hamilton County Growth Partnership, the program will help strengthen local leadership, enhance public spaces, and turn local ideas into a lasting impact for each of the nine communities of Hamilton County. Keep Iowa Beautiful states that the communities in Hometown Pride have completed a total of 2,500 plus projects, raised more than $23 million and engaged up to 2,000 volunteers annually to lead initiatives such as park and trail upgrades, public art, beautification, new gathering spaces and community events.
