Webster City- There will be two public hearings for the Webster City City Council set for this Monday evening, June 1st at 6:00 p.m. in the city council chamber. The first hearing is on a proposed amendment to the Webster City Riverview Urban Renewal Area. There will be the first reading of the ordinance for the renewal area. The second hearing of the evening will be on the proposal to dispose of City-owned real property in the Fair Avenue area. The city council will set the date of June 15th for a meeting on a proposed development agreement with Edible Garden Prairie Hills LLC, including appropriation tax increment payments. This is for their project in the former Kenco Warehouse facility on Des Moines Street. A hearing date of June 15th will be set to amend Webster City’s Fiscal Year 2026 Budget with the hearing to start at 6:05 p.m.
In other matters this Monday, the council will consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Williams and Company to perform the Fiscal Year 2026, 2027 and 28 Audit services for Webster City. An employee pay plan will be adopted during the meeting. The council will consider a resolution adopting the Square Footage Model Lot Pricing, establishing a Tiered Dwelling Size Layout for Combined Multi-lot Purchases and reaffirming continued compliance with existing subdivision covenants for Brewer Creek Estates 5th and 6th Additions. Another resolution to be considered is an Amended Purchase Agreement for the disposal city owned property in the Brewer Creek Estates 5th addition to Origin Homes, LLC for the amount of $300. There will be a resolution for supporting the submission of an Iowa Economic Development Authority Application to the Workforce Housing Tax Credit Program by Origin Homes plus other matters before the council.
There will be a closed session of the council to discuss or sale of particular real estate in the city of Webster City.
