Webster City- The Webster City Public Works Department will be performing hydrant flushing starting August 31, 2026. Work will begin each day at 7am and will follow the schedule:
Monday,August 31st-All fire hydrants within the area North of Second Street and East of Des Moines Street.
Tuesday,September 1st-All fire hydrants within the area South of Second Street,North of Elm Streeet,and East of the Boone River.
Wednesday, September 2nd-All fire hydrants within the area South of Elm Street and North of Ohio Street.
Thursday, September 3rd-All fire hydrants within the area South of Ohio Street. This includes the area South of Highway 20.
The final day of the operation will be on Friday,September Fourth- All fire hydrants within the area North of Second Street and West of Des Moines Street.
After work is completed, it is recommended that residents first turn on an outside water faucet for a few minutes to flush any rust or sediment from your water service line. Any discoloration of water or small particles of lime in your water should last for only a short period of time.
Flushing operations should be completed by 4:00PM each day. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen events, the flushing schedule may be adjusted. Webster City residents and businesses who have any questions are asked to contact the Webster City City Hall at 515-832-9151.
