Ellsworth City Council updated of numerous projects and events in their community at this week’s meeting

Ellsworth- During their Tuesday evening meeting, the Ellsworth City Council learned of plans of the conversion of the Pickleball Court. There are plans to add more benches and tables to the park as well as new playground equipment. There are plans to add more sand around the diggers. The Ellsworth Park Board discussed some fundraising options for the Pickleball Court project with more to be discussed at next month’s meeting.

The Ellsworth City Council approved the quote by ACE Electric in the amount of$1663.69 for a repair to the water plant lift station generator. The council voted to table the road work quote from Manatts until the next council meeting. A quote from AgForce of Jewell for the shop interior buildout project in the amount of $42,719.28 with the allowance of $5000 additional for the installment of gutters and downspouts totaling of $47,719.28. The work will begin soon on the project by AgForce.

Beggar’s Night will be Thursday,October 29th in Ellsworth. The council voted this week to set the date and hours for trick or treating to October 29th with the hours from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.. Hot Dogs and refreshments will be served at the Ellsworth fire station that same evening at 5:00 p.m. Saturday,September 12th will be the date set for the Ellsworth city-wide garage sales day.
