Webster City-Hamilton County Sheriff Alex Pruismann announced Tuesday the introduction of the new “Take Me Home” program. This is a free and voluntary service available to all Hamilton County residents. This is for both adults and children who may have difficulty communicating due to medical conditions, disabilities or other circumstances. The Take Me Home program is designed to assist law enforcement and first responders in safety and quickly helping individuals who may become lost, confused, or unable to communicate their identity or where they belong. By enrolling, families can provide important information such as emergency contacts, physical descriptions, medical considerations, communication challenges and favorite places the individual may go. All of the information will be kept secure and can be accessed by the Hamilton County Dispatch Center in real-time, allowing the authorities to respond more effectively and compassionately. The goal is a simple one. It’s to bring your loved one home safely and get them the help they need.
