Webster City- Another meeting of the Webster City City Council comes Monday evening, May 18th at 6:00 in the city council chambers. On the agenda, there will be two public hearings to dispose City Owned Real Estate located at 128 Apple Avenue and in Brewer Creek Estates Fifth Addition. The Brewer Creek Estates Fifth Addition will be sold to Origin Homes for a workforce housing development. The council will hear a presentation on the history behind Brewer Creek Lots 5th and 6th Addition.
In other matters at the Monday evening meeting, there will be the consideration of a resolution authorizing an Assurance Agreement with the Iowa Area Development Group for a Rural Economic Development Loan for Edible Garden Prairie Hills LLC for the future plant at the former Kenco warehouse on North Des Moines Street. The date of June 1st at 6:05 p.m. for a public hearing on the proposal to dispose of City-Owned real property on Fair Avenue. There will also be the first reading of an ordinance on the keeping of livestock with the corporate limits of Webster City. The council will meet in closed session in connection with collective bargaining with the Fire Department Unit on a new three-year work agreement for 2026 through 2029.
