Webster City and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball compete in NCC quad in Clarion

CLARION, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls volleyball teams returned to action on Thursday night, as the Cowgirls hosted an North Central Conference quad at CGD High School. The Cowgirls and Lynx were joined by Iowa Falls-Alden and Hampton-Dumont-CAL.

Webster City and CGD opened the night by facing one another, as the Cowgirls took the opening set by a score of 25-22, before Webster City rallied and took the 2nd set in extra serves 28-26. CGD would then outlast the Lynx in set 3 to take a 15-12 win and a 2-1 victory. Stats were not available on Bound as of Friday morning.

CGD followed up by sweeping Hampton-Dumont-CAL in their 2nd match 2-0 with sets of 25-16 and 25-17. CGD stats were not available on Bound as of Friday Morning. Webster City would be swept in their 2nd match against Iowa Falls-Alden 2-0 with sets of 25-12 and 25-22.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball returns to action on Saturday, when they play in the South Hardin Tournament in Eldora beginning at 9 AM. Webster City volleyball returns to action this coming Thursday, when they host Algona in North Central Conference action with first serve at 7 PM.
