Webster City boys golf ties for 8th at Bill Chambers Invitational in Spencer

SPENCER, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx golf team returned to action on Monday morning, as they made the drive to the Iowa Great Lakes region to compete in the annual Bill Chambers Invitational at Spencer Golf and Country Club. The Lynx were joined by the host Tigers, as well as Algona, Carroll, Carroll Kuemper, Cherokee, Clear Lake, Denison-Schleswig, Emmetsburg, Estherville-Lincoln Central, Harlan, Humboldt, MOC-Floyd Valley, Spirit Lake, Storm Lake and Western Christian.

Webster City would tie for 8th in the tournament with a 331 (+43), tying with Storm Lake. Junior Coyce Bertran would tie for 15th in the tournament with an 80 (+8), finishing as the Lynx’s lowest score. Syrus Willard would tie for 20th and shoot an 81 (+9), as Dawson Bertran would tie for 24th with an 82 (+10), as Dylan Schroeder rounded out scoring with an 88 (+16) and tying for 61st. Other scores for the Lynx saw Matt Tesdahl shoot an 89 (+17) and tie for 65th, as Joel Kasch shot a 94 (+22) and tied for 80th.

Webster City boys golf returns to action on Tuesday, as they travel to Humboldt to compete in an North Central Conference tri with Humboldt and Clear Lake, beginning at 4:30 PM.
