Roland-Story and South Hamilton girls golf competes in Bondurant-Farrar tournament in Altoona

ALTOONA, Ia. — The Roland-Story Norse and South Hamilton Hawks girls golf teams returned to action on Monday afternoon, as they competed in the Bondurant-Farrar 18 Hole Tournament at Terrace Hills Golf Course in Altoona. The Norse and Hawks were joined by the host Bluejays, as well as Panorama and Woodward-Granger.

Roland-Story would claim the meet title with a team score of 355 (+67), as Brinley Carlson was the meet medalist with an 81 (+9). Hadley Carlson would finish 3rd with an 86 (+14), as Keely Oberender was 5th by shooting a 90 (+18). Jenna Birkland rounded out scoring with a 98 (+26) for the Norse. Other scorers for the Norse saw Hannah Bates shoot a 105 (+33), Chloe McGuigan shot a 117 (+45) and Brianna Tjaden shot a 121 (+49).

South Hamilton would place 4th with a 442 (+154), as their top scorer was sophomore Emma Lammers, who shot a 93 (+21) and placed 6th. Grace Larson would shoot a 109 (+37) and tied for 15th, as Sydney Gelder tied for 23rd and shot a 119 (+47). Sophie Nibe rounded out scoring for the Hawks with a 121 (+49) and tying for 25th. Other scores for the Hawks saw Addison Denekas shoot a 122 (+50) and Ava Corbin shoot a 131 (+59).

Roland-Story and South Hamilton girls golf return to action on Tuesday, when they compete in the West Marshall 18-Hole Tournament at Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center, beginning at 2 PM.
