Roland-Story girls track and field places 5th at East Marshall Girls Invite

LeGRAND, Ia. — The Roland-Story Norse girls track and field team returned to action on Thursday, as they made the trip into Marshall County to compete in the East Marshall Girls Invite at the East Marshall Sports Complex in LeGrand. The Norse were joined by the host Mustangs, as well as Baxter, BCLUW, Bondurant-Farrar, Grinnell, Meskwaki Settlement, Montezuma, Nevada, Newton, Oskaloosa, South Tama County and Union Community.

Roland-Story placed 5th with 67 points, as the Norse crowned two champions on Thursday with the 4×800 winning in a time of 10:39.26 with the team of Petersen-Lande-Long-Larson, as the shuttle hurdle followed up with a season-best time of 1:07.87 with the team of Rechkemmer-Lucas-Jondle-Helgeson. The Norse’s 4×200 would place 3rd in a season-best time of 1:51.56 with the team of Reitano-Lucas-Janes-Scarrow, as the 4×400 also placed 3rd in a time of 4:26.72 with the team of Carlson-Larson-Janes-Lande.
