Roland-Story and South Hamilton girls golf competes in HOIAC tri in Jewell

JEWELL, Ia. — The South Hamilton Hawks and Roland-Story Norse girls golf team returned to action on Thursday afternoon, as they competed in a Heart of Iowa Conference tri-meet at Jewell Golf and Country. The Hawks and Norse were joined by the West Marshall Trojans.

Roland-Story would be the meet champion with a team score of 172 (+28), as Brinley Carlson was the meet medalist by shooting a 39 (+3), as younger sister Hadley Carlson was 2nd with a 41 (+5). Morgan Thompson would shoot a 45 (+9), as senior Keely Oberender rounded out scoring with an 47 (+11). Other competitors for the Norse saw Jenna Birkland shoot a 47 (+11), Brianna Tjaden shoot a 50 (+14), Mya Oberender score a 55 (+19), Chloe McGuigan and Chloe Mosby each score a 56 (+20) and Hannah Bates score a 58 (+22).

South Hamilton placed 3rd by scoring a 219 (+75), however individual scores were not available on Bound as of Friday morning.

Roland-Story and South Hamilton girls golf returns to action on Monday, when they compete in the Bondurant-Farrar 18-hole tournament at Terrace Hills Golf Course in Altoona, beginning at 1 PM.
