Stratford-An update on this July’s “Stratford on the Loose” from the Stratford Community Development Corporation will be presented at this (Monday) evening’s meeting of the Stratford City Council beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Stratford City Hall. The tentative day for the celebration will be Saturday,July 11th featuring a parade, games and entertainment. There will be the consideration of a payroll increase for the pool concession and city staff by council members. A digging request from Cayden Heck of 918 Highway 175 to trench ground water to a storm sewer drain at the southwest corner of Locust and Highway 175 will be considered. The council will consider the approval of the Stratford Early Learning Center donation request for the May 2,2026 Boots and Bling Adult Gala Fundraiser Event.
In other matters, the Stratford City Council will consider the approval of Dan Ostrem consulting city staff in preparation of proper Pool maintenance process in preparation for the summer season, consider the approval of an MSA Electric Rate study, and to discuss lagoon work suggested by the Iowa DNR.
