Williams City Council sets a public hearing on the Property Tax Levy for 2026-27 for this Monday, April 13th at 6:00 p.m.

There will be a public hearing on the proposed Property Tax Levy for the 2026-27 fiscal year in the town of Williams this Monday evening at 6:00 at the Williams Public Library. A review of the fireworks ordinance for Williams will be discussed by council members. The council will take a look at the lease agreement with Avery’s Implement on the Williams City Right-of-way.  In other matters, the council will consider having an ordinance to be prepared regarding temporary storage containers. The second reading of an ordinance for water rates in Williams will be reviewed by the city council

In other matters,a date will be set by the council for the Williams Fiscal Year 2026-27 Budget public hearing. There will be the approval of a mower purchase agreement, set the date of May 16th for the Williams Clean Up Day and submit an application for the support of Williams’ involvement with the “Hometown Pride” program. The Keep Iowa Beautiful board of directors will make a decision next month on the possible selection of Hamilton County for being involved with the “Hometown Pride” program.
