Wright County Board of Supervisors will face a busy agenda this Monday. The day kicks off with a public hearing on the proposed property tax levy for Fiscal Year 2027 at 9:00a.m. The regular board meeting will follow after the hearing at approximately 9:10 a.m. The agenda includes setting the dates for Wright Nights on Main on the first Mondays of the month from May through August and for Festival in the Park on June 13th. Melisa Mendez will be appointed as a Civil Process Server at the Monday meeting. There will be a discussion and to take possible action to authorize the Director of Wright County Economic Development to initiate a formal request for a proposal and request for qualification process for the real estate listing and strategic marketing of the Wright County Agribusiness Park.
In other matters the Wright County Supervisors will discuss the possible merger of the Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern railroad firms and to take possible action of letter of support. There will be the consideration of the Thrive Iowa Grant for Wright County Public Health. A box culvert project for the Wright County Secondary Road Department will be discussed. A Drainage Trustee meeting will be on Monday’s agenda plus other matters.
