The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys track team made the trip north to compete in the annual Clear Lake Invitational at Clear Lake High School. The Cowboys were joined by the host Lions as well as Algona, Belmond-Klemme, Forest City, Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Lake Mills and Osage.
CGD would see just one event win on Tuesday night, as junior Mason Allen would win the discus with a winning toss of 139′ 5″, Allen would also place 6th in the shot put with a toss of 40′ 7.75″. Other notable results included Nevan Foss placing 5th in the high jump, clearing 5′ 10″, while placing 3rd in the 200 meter dash in a time of 24.38 seconds.
CGD would finish tied for 7th with Lake Mills, as both squads scored 50 points each. Full meet results can be found on Bound.
