EAGLE GROVE, Ia. — The Eagle Grove Eagles volleyball team opened their 2026 season on Tuesday night, as they hosted the Southeast Valley Jaguars in non-conference action at Eagle Grove Elementary School.
Things started will for the Eagles on Tuesday, as they came out executing well early, coming away with a victory in the opening set by a margin of 25-23. Southeast Valley then flipped the script in set 2, holding off a late Eagle rally by a score of 25-22 to tie the match at 1-1. Set 3 would belong all to the Jaguars, dominating 25-13 to take a 2-1 lead, before Southeast Valley held off Eagle Grove late in set 4 by a score of 25-21 to take a 3-1 victory.
Tuesday’s Ace Hardware of Webster City Ace of the Game was senior Holly Anderson, who finished with a game-high 9 kills and an ace, while Ellie Lenning finished with 7 kills and 4 aces. Addy Pamperin added 6 kills and an ace, while Addison Eittrem finished with 4 kills and 4 blocks.
Eagle Grove volleyball returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Fort Dodge for their North Central Conference opener against the St. Edmond Gaels, with first serve at 7 PM.
