Fort Dodge-Police in Fort Dodge continue with their investigation of a shooting Friday afternoon that claimed one man with the shooter apprehended. Officers were notified shortly before 2 p.m. of a male being shot in the 1300 block of Third Avenue North. When authorities arrived, they located an adult male with a single gunshot wound. The individual was transported to Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was pronounced dead on arrival. Police then apprehended the shooter on the scene. The name of the victim and the shooter have not been released by authorities. Fort Dodge Police have determined that this was an isolated incident between two parties known to each other with no threat to the public.
