Webster City-“Where Traditions Shine” is the theme for the 2026 edition of the Hamilton County Fair. The exposition will begin its run Tuesday, July 21st to Sunday,July 26th with a number of events for young and old.The Tuesday highlights include the Dog Obedience Show at 8:00 a.m. in the Show Arena. Open Class Judging will begin at 9:00 a.m. for Photography, Textile, Hobby Craft and Fine Arts departments. The annual Hamilton County Fair Parade will begin at 5:30 through the downtown area on toward the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. The parade will feature floats, the Fair Queen contestants, Fire, Police and EMS ambulances from every Hamilton County community, classic vehicles, farm machinery from yesterday and today and more. The Scott Amusements will open for midway fun from 6:00 until 10 Tuesday evening. The vendor market will be open from 6 until 9 p.m. in the Career Ag Academy.
Other Tuesday evening happenings include the Hamilton County Fair Foundation Meal starting at 6:30 in the Farm Bureau Tent. Six girls will compete for the title of Hamilton County Fair Queen this year. The contestants this year are Olivia Bergman, Rosie Collins and Samantha Tilley all of Stratford, Sophia Nibe of Ellsworth, Delaney Paulson of Boone and Megan Van Deer of Webster City. The winner will represent Hamilton County at the Iowa State Fair Queen Contest set for next month in Des Moines. The new queen will succeed retiring queen, McKenna Miller of Stanhope. The queen ceremony is set for 8 p.m. Tuesday night in the fair grandstand. Tank Anthony will appear in a free concert at the EBY Trailer Stage also at 8 Tuesday evening.
The fair will feature plenty of 4-H and FFA events, Kid’s activities, Free music concerts and more through July 26th
