Webster City- Richard Carlson of Webster City was honored Saturday evening at the Garden Party event by LIFT WC with the naming of the garden in honor of him. Carlson has planted, watered, weeded and maintained the garden adjacent to the Elks Building on Second Street. The space is now known as The Richard C. Carlson Garden. Webster City mayor John Hawkins and Darcy Swon from LIFT WC recognized Carlson during the intermission of the evening performance by the Day Okay Jazz Project. A good attendance was noted for the concert and for the special honor for Richard C. Carlson.
