Jewell- There will be a meeting of the Jewell City Council set for 5:00 this Monday afternoon in the Jewell City Hall council chambers. One of the issues facing the council will be a discussion on the possibility of an E-bike/Scooter ordinance for operators in the community. The council will explore opportunities to coordinate the ordinance development with the city of Ellsworth to ensure consistency and alignment for the Police Department. There will be a public hearing at 5:15 this afternoon on a sidewalk ordinance for Jewell. Other items on the Monday agenda will include an update on Main Street Lights,a swimming pool funding report, and an update on a recent meeting with ISG on the lagoon project in Jewell plus other matters facing the council at the meeting.
