FOREST CITY, Ia. — The Eagle Grove Eagles baseball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the trip to Winnebago County to take on the Forest City Indians in Top of Iowa West action at Forest City High School. The Eagles entered at 0-1, while the Indians entered at 0-2.
Following a scoreless first, the Indians got on the board with a run in the 2nd, before putting 5 runs in the 3rd to take a 6-0 lead. A scoreless 4th then gave way to Forest City putting up 4 runs in the 5th to walk-off a 10-0, 5-inning victory.
Gavin Pedersen was the losing pitcher of record, going 2.1 innings and allowing 6 runs (4 earned) on 4 hits and striking out 5. Hayden Schafer and Trent Robinson were the only 2 Eagles to record hits on Tuesday night.
Eagle Grove baseball returns to action on Wednesday, when they host the West Hancock Eagles in Top of Iowa West action at Bruce Rholl Field, with first pitch at 7:30 PM.
