Details of Sunday car motorcycle accident in Webster City released this Friday morning.

Webster City-The intersection of First and Funk Streets in Webster City was the scene of a car motorcycle accident late last Sunday morning with details released this (Friday) morning by Webster City Police. Reportedly a southbound 2005 model Honda Accord driven by Reyna Cisneros Navarrette of Webster City arrived at the intersection of First and Funk Streets. The driver came to a complete stop, looking for oncoming vehicles but her vision was obscured by a parked vehicle. Navarrette attempted to pull ahead into the intersection when it collided with a westbound 2010 model Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Jodi Bertran also of Webster City. Bertran was first transported to Van Diest Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. She was later life flighted to Unity Point Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines for further treatment. During the investigation, the vehicle was identified as being illegally parked. The vehicle was 17 feet 5 inches from the intersection in violation of Webster City City Code. The owner was ticketed and the vehicle was then moved. The Bertran motorcycle was totaled in Sunday’s accident with the damage to the Navarrette auto at $2,000. Investigating officer Ian Holcombe cited Reyna Cisneros Navarrette with Failure to Obey a Stop Sign and Yield the Right of Way.
