WEBSTER CITY, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx girls soccer team returned to action on Tuesday evening, as they hosted the Boone Toreadors for a non-conference match at Lynx Field. Webster City entered at 5-7, while Boone entered at 2-5-3.
The first half would have a flurry of offense, as Boone put up a pair of goals in the opening half, but Webster City would get a goal from Janey Putney as the Toreadors led 2-1 at the halftime break. Webster City flipped the script in the 2nd half, as Janey Putney added 2 more goals to garner a hat trick, but Boone also managed to scoot a goal across to end the match in a 3-3 tie.
Webster City girls soccer returns to action on Thursday, when they host the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Cardinals in North Central Conference action at Lynx Field, with kickoff at 5:30 PM.
