Webster City girls golf places 2nd at NCC tri at Links Golf Course

WEBSTER CITY, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx girls golf team returned to action on Tuesday, as they hosted a North Central Conference tri meet with the Algona Bulldogs and Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets at the Links Golf Course.

Webster City placed 2nd in the meet with a team score of 199 (+55), just 9 strokes behind meet winners Algona. The Lynx’s top placer was senior Kenley Koop, who placed 4th and shot a 49 (+13), as junior Hayden McCoy placed 5th and also shot a 49 (+13). Senior Ellie Peterson placed 6th and shot a 50 (+14), as senior Alleyna Dawson rounded out scoring by placing 8th and shooting a 51 (+15).

Other scorers for the Lynx saw junior Carli Jessen shoot a 54 (+18) and junior Mylie Keller shoot a 57 (+21).

Webster City girls golf returns to action on Thursday, when they compete in the Eagle Grove 18-Hole Tournament at Eagle Grove Golf Course, beginning at 1 PM.
