Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf places 3rd at NCC tri in Clear Lake

CLEAR LAKE, Ia. — The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys golf team returned to action on Tuesday afternoon, as they competed at a North Central Conference tri meet with the Clear Lake Lions and St. Edmond Gaels at Veterans Memorial Golf Club.

CGD placed 3rd in the meet with a team score of 183 (+39), as their top placer was sophomore Teddy Yackle, who placed 10th and shot a 44 (+8), while senior Tristan Kakacek placed 11th and shot a 45 (+9). Junior Adam Hodson placed 13th and shot a 46 (+10), as freshman Preston Gniadecki placed 15th and shot a 48 (+12) to round out scoring.

Other scorers for the Cowboys saw Jacob Ruba shoot a 49 (+13) and Crew Garza shoot a 51 (+15).

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf returns to action on Thursday, when they compete in the annual North Central Conference Tournament at Legacy Golf Course in Mason City, beginning at 10 AM.
