BELMOND, Ia. — The Wright County Broncos boys soccer team returned to action on Saturday morning, as they hosted the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets in North Central Conference action at Belmond-Klemme High School. The Broncos entered at 9-0-3, while Iowa Falls-Alden entered at 1-8.
Wright County would get the offense going early on Saturday, putting up 2 goals in the first half, but IF-A would get on the board in the opening frame as well, with the Broncos holding a 2-1 halftime lead. The Broncos would build on their lead in the 2nd half, putting up 2 more goals as Wright County claimed a 4-1 victory.
Freshman Jorge Luis Guzman would score 2 goals on Saturday, as Anir Akdim and William Ordonez scored goals as well. Assists were tallied by Akdim, as well as Selvin Gonzalez and Jerry Hernandez. Goalkeeper Juan Ulises Medina allowed just 1 goal, but made 8 saves.
Wright County boys soccer returns to action on Monday night, as they host the Webster City Lynx in a pivotal North Central Conference match at Belmond-Klemme High School, with kickoff at 5:30 PM.
