WEBSTER CITY, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx boys golf team returned to action on Friday afternoon, as they hosted a North Central Conference tri meet with the St. Edmond Gaels and Charles City Comets at Briggs Woods Golf Course.
Webster City would dominate the meet from start to finish, winning with a team score of 158 (+14), 23 strokes ahead of 2nd place St. Edmond. Junior Coyce Bertran was the meet medalist, winning with a score of 37 (+1), as senior Joel Kasch placed runner-up with a 40 (+4). Junior Eian Becker placed 3rd with a 40 (+4), as senior Dawson Bertran placed 4th and shot a 41 (+5).
Other scores for the Lynx saw Syrus Willard and Matt Tesdahl each shoot a 44 (+8).
Webster City boys golf returns to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Eagle Hills Golf Course for a North Central Conference tri meet with Algona and Iowa Falls-Alden, beginning at 4:30 PM.
