“Anchored in Christ” celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas School Ball Saturday night!

Webster City-The 25th annual Friends of St. Thomas Aquinas School Ball was held Saturday night at the Parish Center. From food to games to a magic show and dancing the night away, a good time was had by all to raise funds to support the local parochial school. We should know by sometime this week how much was raised from the benefit. The online bidding continues until 9 this evening.. This year’s theme for the Ball was “Anchored in Christ”.Saturday night was a special one for Sharon Smith. She was honored with both the Friend of St. Thomas Aquinas Award for her support of the school and for 35 years as school secretary. Others recognized were St. Thomas Aquinas School Principal Theresa Schleisman as she will be retiring after over 40 years in education at the end of this month. Schleisman has been principal of St. Thomas Aquinas since 2019. Father Frances Anane was recognized for has pastoral work at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. He will be leaving St. Thomas Aquinas this July to begin his duties at Catholic parishes in Decorah and Cresco.
