Webster City City Council to meet this Monday evening, May 4th at 6:00 p.m.

Two proclamations will be read at this Monday evening’s meeting of the Webster City City Council beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the city council chambers. One is for Webster City Community Beautification for May and June,2026 and for Poppy Days on May 22 and 23. The council will consider a request from the Webster City FFA chapter for the “Take your Tractor to School” set for next Friday, May 8th. The route will begin at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds following a route to Superior to Ohio to Beach Street on to Elm Street ending at the Webster City High School. The Webster City American Legion will present a request for street closures for the Memorial Day Parade on Monday,May 25th from Des Moines Street to Ohio to the entrance of Graceland Cemetery.

In other matters, the Webster City City Council will set two public hearings on the proposal to dispose of City Owned Real Estate located in Brewer Creek Estates 5th Addition and at 128 Apple Avenue on May  18th at 6:05 p.m. There will also be a discussion on the recommendation from the Webster City Downtown Revitalization Committee identifying four downtown revitalization priority properties for immediate action.The date of June 1st at 6:05 p.m. for a public hearing on Designation of the Expanded Webster City Riverview Urban Renewal Area and on an Urban Renewal Amendment for Webster City. The awarding of a contract for Mowing and Snow Removal Services to Aw.some Mowing will be on Monday’s council agenda. A proposal to purchase two City-Owned parcels in the Fair Avenue  area.

There will be a closed session of the Webster City City Council to discuss the purchase of particular real estate in the city.
