IOWA FALLS, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx boys soccer team returned to action on Monday afternoon, as they made the trip to Hardin County to take on the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets in North Central Conference action at Cadet Field. Webster City entered at 3-1-1, while Iowa Falls-Alden entered at 0-7.
Webster City would get on the board early with a goal from Carlos Alaniz in the 12th minute to put the Lynx ahead 1-0, but Webster City’s offense struggled in the blustery conditions on Monday, going just 1-for-11 on shots on goal. The Lynx defense would stifle the Cadets, as Edwin Ramos Nolasco recorded just 3 saves as Webster City held for a 1-0 victory.
Webster City boys soccer returns to action on Tuesday, when they host the Wright County Broncos in North Central Conference action at Lynx Field, with kickoff at 5:30 PM.
