WEBSTER CITY, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx girls soccer team returned to action on Monday afternoon, as they hosted the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets in North Central Conference action at Lynx Field. Webster City entered at 2-4, while Iowa Falls-Alden entered at 5-1-1 and ranked #14 in Class 1A.
It would be an onslaught from the Cadets from the outset, as IF-A put up 7 goals in the first half to take a 7-0 lead. The Cadets kept the foot on the gas in the 2nd half to end the game by mercy rule in a 10-0 shutout.
Webster City stats weren’t available as of Tuesday morning, as Kymri Koenigsfeld led the Cadets with 4 goals.
Webster City girls soccer returns to action on Friday, when they travel to Humboldt to take on the Wildcats in North Central Conference action at Mason Maach Field, beginning at 5:30 PM.
