Hamilton County Conservation invites you to “Secrets of the Silkworms” program and hot dog feed this Saturday, April 25th.

Webster City- The Hamilton County Conservation Department invites you to a program celebrating Earth Day this Saturday, April 25th. The Secrets of the Silkworms is the title of the Saturday program starting at 10:00 at Briggs Woods Park. The guest speaker Loretta Zue raises silkworms for a hobby. She will talk about how to raise silkworms and how luxurious silk is made. The program will be held at the Hamilton County Conservation office. After the talk by Zue, there will be a discussion on the unique Iowa County Conservation Board System followed by a trash pick-up around Briggs Woods Park. After Saturday’s clean-up, there will be the serving of hot dogs and smores by campfire at the Outback Area behind the Conservation Office at 12 noon Saturday.
