Webster City- An education program on Cancer in Hamilton County is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29th at 1:00 p.m. in the Hamilton County Courthouse basement meeting room. Experts from the Iowa Cancer Consortium will be present to share information on cancer trends, statistics and risk factors in Hamilton County. There are 92 people in Hamilton County who are diagnosed with cancer each year, on average. 32 people in Hamilton County die of cancer each year, on average. Hamilton County ranks as number 93 for new cancer rates in Iowa where 1 is highest and 99 is the lowest. In addition to the Iowa Cancer Consortium, the other sponsors of Wednesday’s presentation include Iowa Health Care, The Iowa Cancer Registry, Iowa Rural Health and Hamilton County Public Health.
