Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys track places 8th at Belmond-Klemme Boys Relays

BELMOND, Ia. — The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys track and field teams returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the short trip north on Highway 69 to compete in the annual Belmond-Klemme Boys Relays at Belmond-Klemme High School. The Cowboys were joined by the host Broncos, as well as Bishop Garrigan, Clear Lake Classical, Lake Mills, North Butler, North Iowa, North Union, Northwood-Kensett, West Fork and West Hancock.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows placed 8th with a total of 53 points on Tuesday, as the Cowboys emerged with a meet champion as the distance medley won in a time of 3:54.13 with the team of Downing-Hernandez Ordonez-Lingenfelter-Torsell. Huxley Lingenfelter would place 2nd in the discus with a throw of 135′ 9″, while the Cowboys 4×100 placed 3rd in a time of 45.79 with the team of Downing-Sesker-Lingenfelter-Hernandez Ordonez. CGD’s Shuttle Hurdle would place 3rd in a time of 1:09.86 with the team of Rivera-H. Lingenfelter-P. Lingenfelter-Duncalf.
