GOWRIE, Ia. — The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys golf team returned to action on Monday afternoon, as they made the trip to Webster County to take on the Southeast Valley Jaguars at Gowrie Municipal Golf Course.
CGD would fall to the Jaguars, as the Cowboys shot a 184 (+40) to the Jaguars 171 (+27). The top placer for the Cowboys was sophomore Jacob Ruba, who placed 3rd and shot a 44 (+8), as senior Tristan Kakacek and junior Crew Garza tied for 5th, with both shooting a 46 (+10). Teddy Yackle rounded out scoring with a 48 (+12) and placed 8th. Other scores for the Cowboys saw Spencer Scheffel shoot a 52 (+16) and Adam Hodson shoot a 53 (+17).
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf returns to action on Tuesday, as they face Iowa Falls-Alden and Charles City in a North Central Conference tri at Highland Golf Course in Iowa Falls, beginning at 4:30 PM.
