Webster City boys golf places 2nd at Hal Rossow Invitational in Panora

PANORA, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx boys golf team returned to action on Friday, as they competed in the annual Hal Rossow Invitational at Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora. Webster City was joined by the host Panthers, as well as AC/GC, Audubon, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Interstate 35, Knoxville, Martensdale-St. Marys, West Central Valley and Woodward-Granger.

Webster City placed 2nd in the tournament with a team score of 327 (+39), 12 strokes behind tournament champions Knoxville. The Lynx’s top placers were junior Coyce Bertran and senior Syrus Willard, each of whom shot an 80 (+8) and tied for 7th. Senior Dawson Bertran tied for 11th with an 82 (+10), as senior Matt Tesdahl rounded out scoring with an 85 (+13) and tied for 13th. Other scores for the Lynx saw Joel Kasch tied for 26th and shot a 90 (+18), as Dylan Schroeder also tied for 26th with a 90 (+18).

Webster City boys golf returns to action on Monday, as they compete in the Bill Chambers Invitational at Spencer Golf and Country Club in Spencer, beginning at 10 AM.
