Webster City-The 59th season of shows by the Webster City Community Theatre was announced on Sunday. The 2026-27 season opens in September with the production of ‘Birthday Club”. A readers theater of this show is set for this Sunday afternoon, April 25th at 3:00 p.m. at the theater at 1001 Willson Avenue. The production is written by Phil Olson of the “Don’t Hug Me” shows in previous seasons by the Webster City Community Theatre. Other shows include the “The Roommate” by Jon Silverman in November. Roald Dahl’s “Matilda Jr. The Musical” which will be a children’s show set for next February.
Next April, the Webster City Community Theater will present “37 Postcards” by Michael McKeever. The summer musical will be presented in June,2027 with “Come From Away”. There will be more “The Over The Speed Limit Players” next season.
This June the WCCT will present Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,Jr.”. Auditions for this show will be held this (Monday) evening at 6:00 at the theater at 1001 Willson Avenue. There is more information at the Webster City Community Theater Facebook page.
