Webster City boys golf places 4th in highly-competitive Woodward-Granger Invitational

WOODWARD, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx boys golf team returned to action on Thursday morning, as they competed at the Woodward-Granger Invitational at the Woodward Golf Course. The Lynx were joined by the host Hawks, as well as ADM, Ballard, Boone, Madrid, North Polk, Perry and West Marshall.

Webster City would place 4th as a team with a score of 299, as the Lynx’s top scorers were seniors Syrus Willard and Dawson Bertran, as both shot par on the day at 72 (E) and tied for 8th. Coyce Bertran tied for 12th by shooting a 75 (+3), as senior Matt Tesdahl shot an 80 (+8) and tied for 23rd to round out scoring.

Other Lynx competitors saw Dylan Schroeder tie for 31st and shoot an 85 (+13), as Joel Kasch tied for 34th and shot an 87 (+15).

Webster City boys golf returns to action on Friday, as they compete at the Hal Rossow Invitational at Lake Panorama Golf Course, which begins at 9:30 AM.
