ALGONA, Ia. — The Webster City Lynx boys track and field team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the trip north to Kossuth County to compete in the inaugural Brad Heitland Boys Indoor at the new Algona Fieldhouse. The Lynx were joined by the host Bulldogs, as well as Bishop Garrigan, Estherville-Lincoln Central, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, Humboldt, Manson-Northwest Webster, North Union, Spencer and Storm Lake.
Webster City would crown a pair of meet champions on Tuesday, as senior Jaxon Griffith won the 60m hurdles in a time of 8.48 seconds, while the Lynx distance medley won in a time of 3:45.30 with the quartet of Stroner-Hansen-Callahan-Murllio Delfin. The Lynx would pickup a runner-up finish from senior Justin Callahan in the 800m run, as he placed 2nd in a time of 2:00.21, while the 4×800 placed runner-up in a time of 9:40.34 with the team of Draeger-Wardell-Thumma-Lake. Daniel Murillo-Delfin would place 4th in the 400m dash in a time of 55.78 seconds as well.

Webster City boys track and field returns to action next Tuesday, when they travel to Eagle Grove to compete in the Umstead Relays at Gene Hinrichsen Field, beginning at 4 PM.
