IOWA FALLS, Ia. — The Wright County Broncos boys soccer team opened their 2026 season on Monday evening, as they made the trip into Hardin County to take on the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets at Cadet Field.
The first half would be a scoreless affair as defenses ruled through the first 40 minutes. Defenses continued to rule deep into the 2nd half before an Iowa Falls-Alden penalty in the penalty box set up sophomore Adam Dak for a penalty kick, which he converted in the 74th minute to put Wright County ahead 1-0, as the Broncos held for the final 5 minutes for the victory.
Wright County boys soccer returns to action on Tuesday, as they travel to Huxley to take on the Ballard Bombers in non-conference action at Rich Strauss Field, with kickoff at 5:30 PM.
