Iowa State Patrol investigate two vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Highway 20 in Hamilton County.

Two trucks were totaled in a Wednesday morning accident in the westbound lane of the 144-mile marker of Highway 20 in Hamilton County. The Iowa State Patrol and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department responded to the accident scene. Reportedly a westbound 2023 model Ford F150 Super crew truck driven by Larry Crane of Evansdale was traveling in the right-hand lane of the highway when it was struck by a westbound 1998 model Chevrolet 3500 truck driven by Leonardo Hernandez Ignacio of Fort Dodge. The accident report stated Hernandez possible fell asleep at the wheel at the time of the accident. Crane was transported to Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City for treatment and observation for complaints of neck and back pain. No other injuries were reported in Wednesday’s accident. Investigating Iowa State Patrol Lieutenant J. Chris Moline cited Leonardo Hernandez Ignacio with Reckless Driving .
