Webster City firm selected for auxiliary gym project at South Hamilton School.

Jewell- A Webster City firm was selected Monday night for the auxiliary gym project at the South Hamilton School in Jewell. The board approved the low bid from Peterson Construction with a base bid of $5,757,000 with the two alternates including a dovetail roof decking for $109,000 and upgraded gym flooring for $50,000. Ten bids were received for the project and reviewed with the board accepting the bid from Peterson Construction.  Work will begin at a date to be announced at South Hamilton. There was also a public hearing on proposed public improvements at the school with no comments received.
