PATON — The Eagle Grove Eagles volleyball team returned to action on Monday night, as they made the trip into Greene County to take on the Paton-Churdan Rockets in non-conference action at Paton-Churdan High School. Eagle Grove entered at 3-6, while Paton-Churdan entered at 1-2.
Monday’s opening set would be a tight one early, but Eagle Grove was able to start with a 25-19 win. Paton-Churdan wouldn’t bow quietly in set 2, continuing to hang tough before the Eagles closed a 25-20 win, as Eagle Grove dominated set 3 for a 25-10 win and a 3-0 sweep of the Rockets.
Eagle Grove stats were not available on Bound as of Tuesday afternoon, the Eagles return to action Tuesday, when they host Bishop Garrigan in Top of Iowa West action with first serve at 7 PM.
