The Jewell city council meets this Monday evening, August 14 at 7:00 at the Jewell city hall. The council will recognize distinguished musician Stephan Moller for a series of concerts in Jewell this fall for Beethoven in Iowa at the Jewell United Church of Christ. There will be discussion on repair to the 500 block of Johnson Street, consider consulting with CIT of McCallsburg for refocus efforts in Jewell, review a public bid for city owned property, and register the Jewell Boy Scout house on the National Register of Historic Places and Landmarks.
There will be the approval of ballfield and park renovation projects,consider an ash tree payment option, a look at soccer activities for August 26 plus other matters that may come before the Jewell city council on Monday evening.
