Stratford city council to discuss the search for a new mayor at Monday’s meeting.

There will be a discussion of a new mayor for the community of Stratford when the city council meets this Monday evening at 7;00 in the city council chambers. The council members will review a letter from Larry Runyan on the mayoral position on the city council.There will be discussion on approving a building variance from Josh Savage for the property located at 415 Willow Street,consider the approval of using the Local Option Sales and Service Tax funds allocated for the outdoor swimming for repairs to the pool heater from Wingers Companies for $788.83, consider a quote from the Ziegler Company for Transfer Switch Inspection for the generators for the Stratford water plant large lift station and approve a quote to remove a tree in the Stratford City Park.
In other matters this Monday , the Stratford city council members will consider the letter of resignation of Maddy Daniels effective August 18, discuss and approve the Deputy City Clerk job description and posting of the deputy city clerk position based on job description with the deadline for all applications on August 30,2023. The council members will consider a request from the United Cooperative to widen the driveway on the east side of Shakespeare Avenue plus other matters that may come before the council this Monday evening.
