Due to a multi-day winter storm and blizzard conditions forecasted beginning Wednesday night, the City of Webster City is being proactive and providing advanced notice that a Snow Emergency has been declared for Thursday December 22nd starting at 12:00 A.M.
· Vehicles must remain off the streets once the snow emergency goes into effect and remain off the streets until the snow emergency is terminated.
· Vehicles may be ticketed. Vehicles are not allowed to park on the street during the emergency declaration. Parking citations will be written starting at 7:00 A.M. In addition to a citation, vehicles parked on the street during a declared emergency are subject to tow if they pose a hazard for maintenance crews and/or the public.
When a Snow Emergency has been declared, the notification is posted on the City Facebook page, the Police Department Facebook page, KQWC radio and the Daily Freeman Journal. If you do not have access to any of these forms of media, you can always call City Hall at (515) 832-9151, or the Police Department at (515) 832-9166 to inquire if an emergency has been declared.
